"Over the course of the semester, our students have worked together to build a cohesive, original story from the ground up, developing characters, designing environments, and exploring narrative through visual storytelling. Each student illustrated a key moment from the shared story, creating a diverse range of visual narratives across different mediums, audiences, and formats, from comics to children’s books to game interfaces. The Spring 2025 section ran by Kelsey Cretcher came up with the story of Kaya, called ''Where the Snow Settles'"

Two different style studies of the sprite style from Supergiant Games’ Hades, focusing on both their use of colors and shadows along with the character designs themselves.
Iapetus - Final Sprite
Iapetus
Greek Titan from which all humans are decended from, their scrolls contain the life story of every human that's lived their life. Kind, guiding and parental, a sharp contrast to the other Titans in the game. Boons are more centered around defence and healing rather than dealing damage.
Design inspirations from the Minoans, Neolithic elements, and patchwork. I wanted them to seem non-threatening and kind, along with being as androgynous as possible. Their reward symbol is a hand reminiscent of a cave painting, the same motif repeating on their chest.

"The world is at war. Four different legions under the four different banners- Eagle, Marlin, Bear and Ox- have been at each other’s throats for the past 100 years. Amidst the conflict, you have been put into a group under the Adventure’s Guild, tasked with solving all different types of problems while the world churns around you. Your backgrounds, ideals, and dynamics will all come into play while dealing with the various issues you encounter."
Quicksilver is a pitch I did in 2026 for a TTRPG setting, with the assignment specifically focusing on the characters and worldbuilding. I came up with four different groups of people, separated into “Banners,” all with their own unique cultures, exports and struggles.
